FAQ

How do the soups and stews get shipped?

The soups and stews are shipped frozen in protective packaging to ensure they’ll arrive without spillage. Soups and stews should be refrigerated or frozen upon receipt. All orders are shipped ONLY on Wednesdays via UPS next day air.

How long will it take?

All orders must be received no later than 6pm on Tuesdays. Once you place your order, we will package and ship on Wednesday. Your order should arrive on Thursday-Friday - still frozen!!! As long as your item is not made to order, your order delivery time will depend on your local UPS deliverer. UPS promises only to deliver by 8pm local time. Because your order is perishable, someone should be home to accept your delivery (especially in warmer weather). You will receive an email with tracking information about your package.

Are the items made to order?

For the most part, no. Only some items are made to order. All of the no sodium added soup options (Matzah Ball (both broth and balls), Split Pea and Mushroom Barley as well as all breads and sweets are made to order. Instead of placing your order, please contact us.

Are there any returns or refunds?

There are no returns. If your order arrives fully thawed due to weather or other unforeseeable reasons that prevented your timely delivery, kindly dispose of your order and contact us immediately.

Where do you ship to?

Chef Sue ships to all 50 states via UPS next day air.

Are your soups kosher?

No. Although the soups are prepared “Jewish-style”, they are not Kosher nor is the kitchen we use.

What allergens are found in your soups?

None of Chef Sue’s soups contain MSG or nuts but all soups are made in a commercial kitchen where other chefs may use nuts or nut oils for their own products. Our Matzah balls contain wheat in the form of matzah meal and they contain eggs.

Can I put your soup containers in my microwave oven?

You “can”, but really should not microwave any plastic containers. We recommend that you use a microwave-safe bowl instead.
